Hat Creek Outdoor Adventures was founded in 2006 in Niobrara County, Wyoming, by Jason Walker. Jason grew up on a cattle ranch near Ardmore, SD. He graduated from Casper College with an Associate's degree in Fire Science and from Chadron State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Range Livestock Management with Plant Science and Animal Science minors.

The business was formed with thoughts that people love to be in the outdoors and experience nature at its best. We have the opportunity to provide a service to the general public that allows our clients to go special places on ranches and farms (private property) to see wildlife and livestock. We provide opportunities for people to see wildlife and livestock interact with each other or act separately from each other.

Within this, we allow clients to do “special things” by themselves or with family and/or friends. We provide many opportunities to create different packages to satisfy lots of people. Clients can create their own tours with their personal interests in mind.

With all of this in mind, we feel that we can provide a very fun, energetic, creative atmosphere. Clients will have the opportunity to learn about wildlife, livestock, farming, ranching, ecosystems, and best of all be in a very peaceful, beautiful, and pollution-free environment that allows them to participate with Mother Nature, performing in harmony.

Jason is an active member of the National Wild Turkey Federation, Niobrara Livestock Association, and Niobrara County Chamber of Commerce in Lusk, Wyoming. He is currently the president of the of the Lusk Limb Hangers (local NWTF chapter). He is also on the board of the local Livestock Association. Other groups he is involved include the Rocky Mountain Federation and the Society for Range Management.
